THE WIN LAB & FOOD SOL :: QUICK SERVICE INCUBATOR w. GAIL SIMMONS

The WIN Lab is partnering with Babson Food Sol’s Quick Service Incubator for an evening of innovative food entrepreneurship featuring Gail Simmons, food writer, and dynamic television personality, Nancy Cushman, sake sommelier and restaurateur, and Karen Akunowicz, executive chef and Top Chef constestant.
The Quick Service Incubator™ is sponsored by Food Sol, an action tank for food entrepreneurs within The Lewis Institute for Social Innovation at Babson.
At the Quick Service Incubator, select food entrepreneurs each get two minutes to pitch business challenges to the audience, which then divides into groups for rapid brainstorming on solutions. Guest mentors support audience teams in crowdsourcing ideas to then pitch back to the entreprneurs. Culinary expert, food writer, and dynamic television personality
Gail Simmons is a trained culinary expert, food writer, and dynamic television personality. Since the show’s inception in 2006, she has lent her extensive expertise as a permanent judge on BRAVO’s Emmy-winning series “Top Chef.” Now entering its 13th successful season, “Top Chef” is rated the #1 food show on cable television. Gail was previously head critic on “Top Chef Duels” and host of “Top Chef Just Desserts,” Bravo’s pastry-focused spin-off of the “Top Chef” franchise. She was also co-host of “The Feed” which aired in 2014 on FYI, A+E’s new lifestyle network.
