NOFA Winter Conference

January 14

Go deeper into your winter study sessions at the upcoming NOFA/Mass Winter Conference at Worcester State University on January 14th, 2017!  Our full program of adult, teen and children’s courses will be just what you need to prepare for your next growing cycle!

There will be a film series, a raffle and plenty of conversation to be had amongst the 1000 farmers, gardeners and activists working to create a more organic friendly world!

You can also discover more than 80 excellent vendors at our Trade Show where you can find tools, techniques and more information to support your study and take your project to the next level.  We recruit the best resources we can find in Massachusetts to support your projects.

Tap into the resources of more than 70 popular workshops and experts from the field on organic farming, gardening, landscaping, homesteading, DIY skill building and soil/human/animal health.

This year’s keynote speaker will be Paul Kaiser from Singing Frogs Farm in Sonoma County, CA.  Paul and his wife Elizabeth have been successfully demonstrating how to produce high volume, high quality vegetables in an inspiring no-till system since 2007.

Interested in a more concentrated study program?  Register for the conference and sign up for the all day intensive –  a deep dive into no-till farming.  During the seminar, Paul and Elizabeth Kaiser will co-present the ecologically diverse farming techniques that have led to years of successful food production and a sustainable livelihood.

Valuable and practical techniques utilized to grow this ecological farm are on the agenda.  The Kaisers will take an in-depth look at establishing and maintaining beds and fields, how to transition from one crop to the next in a no-till system, and take you from the basics and beyond of managing an intensive, no-till system.

Join us immediately after the conference for a delicious, organic dinner with Paul and Elizabeth Kaiser. The proceeds from the dinner go directly to NOFA/Mass beginner farmer scholarships, food access programs, and policy efforts. Help keep these critical initiatives growing strong while enjoying further learning, stimulating conversation, and live music. Sign up for the meal when you register for the conference OR email christine@nofamass.org.

All registrations include an amazing organic lunch. Alternative Funding Available.
