New, Young and Beginning Farmer Rap Session

February 8, 2014 @ 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm

New, young, and beginning farmers in the United States face tremendous barriers in starting a farming career. Access to capital, to land, and to health insurance present the largest obstacles for new farmers. This workshop presents an opportunity for new, young, and beginning farmers to come together to discuss the challenges and opportunities they face in starting a farm in the Granite State. Through facilitated dialogue we’ll collectively address the relevant issues and brainstorm innovative solutions with the goal of building a more resilient network of support. This two-hour formal session will include an additional informal hour for discussion and networking. Sponsored by: Land For Good, Small and Beginner Famers NH, Farm Bureau Young Farmers
