Maple Sugaring

Come to the Boston Nature Center and take part in a classic New England tradition – Maple sugaring! Join us as we tap, collect, and boil down sap from the Maple trees found at the Boston Nature Center. You will learn about the different techniques and equipment used across New England and why Sugar Maples are so unique. We will also delve into the history of Maple sugaring and discuss the current state of Maple sugaring all while enjoying a tasty Maple treat! This program will include a discussion on climate change, as it is part of a series of programs partially funded by the EPA. Preregistration encouraged, but not required.
