Invisible Chefs: How Microbes Make Our Food

Join the Harvard Ed Portal for a virtual dinner with Roberto Kolter, Professor of Microbiology at Harvard Medical School and Pia Sorensen, senior preceptor in Chemical Engineering and Applied Materials at the John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. During this dinner, the presenters will guide the audience through the invisible roles that microbes play in the food and drink we consume. Learn how microbes produce the raw materials, prepare the food, and enhance our ability to be nourished as we delight in eating. Wine, cheese, and chocolate tastings will be included as part of the event.
